Letter from the Conchair 2024

Dear Attendees, Guests, and All the rising stars of the Anime Community,

 Hello and Welcome to our Zodiac themed year of Anime Iwai! Did you know Iwai means Celebration in Japanese? Well, that is exactly what it means! We like to celebrate anime and Japanese culture and embrace all the wonderful people that it has brought together. This year is our 9th year celebrating one of our favorite things together. There are two Zodiacs: the Western and the Chinese Zodiacs and it is going to be fun celebrating them both with all of you!

 We have so many amazing things planned for your entertainment: Dances, Concerts, Raves, Cosplay Contests, Burlesque, Gaming tournaments and so many panels! Be sure to check out our Sweet Tooth Maid Café and The Elsie Lovelock Concert. Fantasticarium is hosting a lovely Celestial Ball and many panels throughout the weekend! Don’t Forget to check out our Interactive Gaming Room run by Weeb Warfare or our Tabletop Gaming Room where you can play a game of D&D or many other unique tabletop games. This year for the first time ever we are having a kid zone from the start of day until 6pm (4pm on Sunday) enjoy the many activities and contests for the kids to enjoy. If you're 18 or older be sure to check out our adult content or see one of  the Bombshell  burlesque shows. We also have our Exhibit Hall with carefully picked artists and vendors ready to sell their wares to you! Plus, we hope you join in our ribbon game where you can find as many ribbons as possible throughout the weekend!

In this Year of the Dragon, I hope you enjoy all the wonderful activities we have planned. I just want you to know that a membership to Anime Iwai is joining not only a community but also a family. I couldn’t have put on this show without the staff, the volunteers, the guests, the panelists and of course without all of you to make this convention possible. I look forward to seeing you around the convention and hope we also get to see you next year for our 10 Year Anniversary!
